Cindy Lu Do

Dad had a great time shampooing your hair! You remind me of Cindy Lu Who!

Fairy

So when I was growing up there were little sneaky elves that would eat all the chocolate chips or leave messes or even better clean the house. Now that I am all grown up there is a little sneaky fairy that helps clean out the dishwasher. If you see her be sure to tell her thanks!

BCB

BCB stands for Butt Crack Bandit. McKaylee I swear no matter what we put you in you were always sporting Butt Crack. We just adopted the name and whenever we say it you know that you need to pull up your pants. You are so skinny that jeans just don't fit right. Someday hopefully the problem will right itself.

Liar Liar

Your dad and I were teaching you about lying because you had not been telling the truth. One night while we were getting ready for bed your dad was upset with you because you weren't listening and being reverent during the prayer. You looked at him and said, " Dad you aren't beautiful." Your dad said, " That wasn't very nice to say." to which you responded. " Well you told me not to lie." Smarty pants!

What!!!

I was getting out of the shower when you came into the bathroom. I told you that you needed to go out and you pointed to my chest and asked me if those were big. I told you that they were called breasts and that you would get them one day when you were bigger.

Fast forward 1 month

We were making pancakes for breakfast and you were sitting at the table. This is the conversation.

You- Mom, why doesn't the bib fit me anymore?
Me- Because you are growing.
You- I'm getting bigger like a giant?
Me- Yep
You - When I get bigger and become a giant I will have big breasts just like you.

Your dad and I stopped and stared at each other. We started laughing so hard. We had no idea that you would remember something like that from so long ago. Your memory is outstanding. This happened when you were 3 years old.

Mouthy

We were eating dinner one night and you were talking more than you were eating. I asked you more than once to stop talking and eat. You weren't listening too well. I was pretty frustrated with you so I told you to shut your mouth. You looked at me and opened your mouth as wide as you could. It was one of those moments that you want to be mad but we all ended up laughing instead.

Little Behind

I was wearing a pair of pants that had the word Aeropostal of the bum. You came up to me and pointed to the letters saying, "A,B,C,D...." I said, " McKaylee that isn't the alphabet, if the alphabet was on my bum then my bum would be big." Without skipping a beat your response was. " But mom, your bum is big."

Word..

Your dad took you and Daphnee to the store with him. Whenever we would go somewhere we would always get asked if you guys were twins. It was the same in this case, the cashier asked your dad if you and Daphnee were twins. He said no and the cashier said, " You must get that alot." Your response to that was " Yep, that's the word on the street."

Prayer

When you were about 2 1/2 we wanted to teach you how to say prayers. Your first prayer goes as follows:
Heavenly Father we thank Thee for food. We thank Thee for green beans. We thank Thee for Broccoli. We thank Thee for my bed. We thank Thee for Daphnee's bed. We thank Thee for Mommy and Daddy's bed. Ummmm I don't know what else to say... Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

One of your more recent prayers.... Heavenly Father we thank Thee for this food. Please bless us and give us a strength. Please help me to get big so I can drive a car and play basketball.

She Looks Like ME!

For all of you out there that say that McKaylee looks more like her daddy this is proof! Ha ha ha she looks more like me. Just kidding I think that she looks a lot more like Russ so this thing has to be wrong. She is cute no matter who she looks like!

Helper

Your dad was helping me make dinner and Austen was hanging out on the couch. You grabbed a book and started reading to her. You didn't know the exact words of the book you just made it all up. Your imagination kept Austen company for a while.

Hide and Seek

You and Daphnee were playing Hide and Seek with your daddy. We had to laugh because it was so obvious that you were hiding under the blanket. You both were moving and giggling.

Snow Days

In January there was a major snow storm that came in. It was so cold outside that the power went out. There was no heat in the house. Your dad set up a make shift fort in the front room. It ended up getting too cold in the house that we had to leave and stay at a friends for a couple hours.

This is a tower that you built, by yourself. We were all very impressed.

Your dad was teaching you and Daphnee to arm wrestle. You both won!

Favorites.

I love love love these pictures of my girlies!

Big Sister.

Big Sister Again!

We told you that mommy was in labor and that when I got home from the doctors that Baby Austen would be here. You started jumping up and down because you were so excited.

You couldn't wait to hold your baby sister. You are the best helper, whenever I needed anything you were always there to help. You were always there to help comfort her when she was upset.

Christmas 2010

You were playing with the Nativity set and decided to add your own characters. Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Stawberry Shortcake.
Christmas Morning

You and Daphnee were being awfully quiet so we looked around to see what you were up to. This is what we found. You and Daphnee were putting on "make-up" with non washable markers.

You couldn't forget your piggies.

Now it's time for Mommy and Daddy to get a makeover. Such an improvement!

Your Daddy

There is nothing your dad loves more than to spend time with his girlies. Here you are Dr McKaylee performing an examination of your daddy.

Daddy graduated from the University of North Texas December 17, 2010. We were very proud of all that he accomplished. You were too young to remember all of the sacrifices your dad made while he was in school. Even though he worked full time, went to school and studied a lot he ALWAYS made time for his girls. Way to go Daddy!
